Barry Phillips was born in Dundee in 1978. A third-generation Dundee supporter, he first visited Dens Park in 1985 and has since witnessed four relegations, two administrations and numerous false dawns. He lives in eternal hope of a return to better days. He is the author of the cult Real Leigh Griffiths Blog. The Tartan Special One is his first novel.

Grant Hill was born in Dundee in 1979. He has worked in journalism, public relations, call centres, pubs and a pea factory. A DJ of extremely limited technical ability, he founded the now infamous Teckle Collective and counts Shaun Ryder, Eric Cartman and Tommy Coyne among his heroes.Clubbed to Death is his first book.
